a quick thought

In the final minutes of clergy conference, so I don't have much time. My quick thought having only skimmed the lessons is how willing our congregants are to accept that God desires them this much. Seems as though faith in self and faith in God are closely related. How wounded are our congregants that many of them can't believe in themselves let alone that God might love them.
